Lucky, lucky me!

Ella is, aparantly, a neat freak.

When she gets her diaper changed, she wants to throw the old one away herself and wash her hands.

When I am picking up toys (and BEGGING the older kids to get in there and help!) Ella is right alongside me, tossing toys into their bins.

When I deep cleaned my carpets, Ella worked for all of those 2+ hours right next to me with her little toy vacuum cleaner.

She helps me water the garden and pick the veggies. (She also eats ALL of the veggies. This girl is gonna be HEALTHY! She loves zucchini and tomatoes better than candy!)

I have to keep a close eye on her, or I find her upstairs cleaning the toilets, scouring power, toilet brush and all.

She's something else! A little cleaning machine.

Mmmmmm, the fruits of our labors

Our garden is in full-swing now. I just made the kids and I some omlettes for lunch with tomatoes, peppers, onions, and zucchini straight from the garden. We've had about 5 zucchinis and a few squash already.

We've been able to eat loads of cherries, strawberries and raspberries, as well as sweet peas, this year.

I know I should have some pictures of it, but the food never lasts long between harvesting and devouring it.

It is soooooo tasty. Veggies are always good, but right fresh from the garden? Mmmmm, heaven.

The 4th of July

Ok, since I am a dork and can't properly upload pictures, we'll go backwards.
So we went to Alison's house for the second half of the day. They had a fun waterslide up and the kids loved it. McKay looked like a lizard, sitting at the top, basking in the sun. (I know it is tilted crazily, but I had to get the sun in, because that was half of McKay's enjoyment.)

We had an awesome dinner, fun fireworks, and a great time with family.

We also had our annual ward breakfast and waterslide. Michael was REALLY into it this year.

Ella and Garrett were more about watching the goings on.

Hannah also went down the waterslide more times than I can count.

McKay liked it, but only went down a couple times.

Michael grabbed Garrett and took him down against Garrett's will, and Garrett was VERY displeased.
